WATER DAMAGE REPAIR
Water Removal
We dispatch a crew based on the amount of water in the loss location and the number of rooms and/or floors that are affected. Once we are on-site, we will discuss the entire project with the owner and develop a scope of work and schedule of repairs.
Our crew will extract the water from walls, ceilings, floor coverings and your personal property as needed. Until the water has been physically removed, the water will continue to damage the building’s structure and contents.
When we have determined how saturated the building materials are, we will dry these items in place with drying equipment and/or the building materials will be removed. The materials necessary for each project will be determined at the loss location.
Contents are more likely to be affected the longer they sit in standing water. Our crew will remove or move the contents in the damaged areas to protect them from additional damages.
Categorizing the level of water contamination is required to perform loss assessment and evaluation activities. State Restoration uses moisture detection tools to estimate the depth of the water penetration in the structure, including a moisture sensor, a penetrating moisture meter, and an infrared camera.
Water damage is divided into three general categories: Clean Water, Gray Water, and Black Water. Note: the category of water contamination is determined by the source, contents, history, and characteristics of the water, not by the color. The categorizing of the type of water damage is important to determine the appropriate course of remediation.
Mold Remediation
- Proper equipment monitoring was insufficient and areas remained wet
- The drying time during the restoration project was not sufficient
- The area was left exposed to moisture too long prior to the start of water remediation.
Once debris removal is completed, State Restoration, Inc. can handle the water and remaining moisture that linger in the walls due to the fire extinguishing process. A thorough dry down is required to prevent mold and mildew growth and prepare for the next step of the fire remediation and work toward complete restoration.

Lead / Asbestos / Mold Removal
After a loss occurs it may be necessary to determine if asbestos, lead or mold are present within the property based on the materials damage and/or the age of the structure. State Restoration facilitates the testing and abatement of mold, lead and asbestos. The key factors in a successful abatement and remediation are detection, identification, containment and abatement.
